Our Printing Process
Letterpress, Spot Color:
Our popular Heavy-Duty Tag Paper and Weather Resistant Tags are produced using letterpress equipment, custom printed with spot color inks. Our letterpress process allows us to print on durable materials while adding most custom tag features in-line, as each piece is printed. In a single run, your custom options might include drill holes, fiber reinforcement, eyeletting, die cutting, perforating, numbering, and even attached string or wire.
Spot Color Printing allows us to achieve the closest color match when you reference exact Pantone Colors. Spot Color will not compare to offset or process color printing. For extremely detailed screens and heavy ink coverage, ask us about digital printing.
Digital, 4-Color Process:
If your hang tag is very detailed (ie: prints full-bleeds, small details or halftones and screens), we recommend contacting us to quote Process Color. Process Color is represented as percentages of cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK). Varying CMYK percentages offer thousands of color possibilities — allowing us to print your very fine details and eye-catching designs.
When quoting a process color tag, you can choose to include UV Coating or Gloss for long-lasting quality or added luster. Tag attachments and finishing options such as string, wire, fiber reinforcement and eyelets can added after offline. Your tags will ship completed and neatly boxed. **Please remember that turnaround time for process color printing will vary.
Artwork Setup
There is no charge for artwork setup with your paid order. If you have a sample, mock-up or typed details of your tag layout, we will compose your proof and send a PDF via e-mail.
Free Templates
If you're feeling creative, use our templates to get started. Popular industry sizes are available. When using our templates or creating your own artwork, please be sure to allow 1/8-inch from all sides, unless your tag order specifies to prints with bleeds.

Proofing
All new tag orders are subject to proof approval before printing. You may make as many changes to your proof as necessary until you are completely satisfied with your tag. Your order will not advance into production without a digitally signed or approved copy.
